Metal braces, aesthetic braces and invisible orthodontics for children, teenagers and adults. 3D scan study and free first visit.
It is the branch of dentistry whose main objective is to correct problems with dental misalignment, non-severe skeletal discrepancies, correction/redirection of facial and oral growth in children, control of childhood habits, improvement of both anterior and posterior bite, teeth alignment and aesthetics, among others. It consists of aligning the teeth to their correct position progressively and biologically, thus establishing a correct fit between the maxillary and mandibular teeth, leaving them harmonized with the patient's mouth and face, and thus providing proper occlusal stability.

Device used to improve dental alignment, bite, and teeth fit through these small squares that can be metallic, ceramic, or made of sapphire. This is the conventional orthodontics of a lifetime, ideal for teenage or adult patients who do not mind wearing braces. At {{COMPANY_NAME}}, we have a type of smaller and rounded bracket to reduce the risk of mouth sores or injuries during treatment. As it is known, no mouth or patient is the same, for this reason, at {{COMPANY_NAME}} before starting an orthodontic treatment, we perform a thorough study using photographs, X-rays, and plaster models of the patient's mouth to determine if this is the best treatment option and to provide a fully closed budget. Metal brackets can be fitted with coloured rubber bands to make the treatment more fun and enjoyable for children or adolescents during its duration. In {{COMPANY_NAME}}, we also use ceramic (white) or sapphire (transparent) aesthetic brackets to offer maximum discretion to patients who have decided to use this type of orthodontics.
The operation of this invisible orthodontics is radically different from that of brackets. Its operation is through transparent, removable, and very comfortable aligners that make it almost imperceptible to others. These aligners are changed every 15 days, and depending on the case and its evolution, we can change them more often and therefore reduce the treatment time. This treatment allows us to know and see how the case will end before starting it thanks to a tool that offers us a 3D virtual image of the patient's mouth. Each invisible aligner allows us to apply movements of up to 0.25mm per tooth, making the movements occur very progressively and highly biologically. In addition, the forces applied by each aligner do not exceed 40gr, making discomfort much less compared to braces. We emphasize that in the case of patients with missing teeth, during treatment, we can fill the empty spaces of the aligners to conceal their absence. For all these reasons, invisible orthodontics is indicated for patients with periodontal problems, patients who have undergone previous orthodontic treatments without achieving the expected results, and/or young or adult patients who wish to undergo orthodontic treatment in the most comfortable and aesthetic way currently available.
Part of orthodontics aimed at the treatment of children aged 6 to 16 years, whose objective is to produce a neuro-musculo-skeletal reorganization in favour of correct facial and oral growth and development. It can be done with removable appliances, functional appliances or palatal expanders. Its main objective is to prepare the child's mouth to intercept problems such as lack of space, skeletal and facial problems, habits, etc., to improve their facial growth, harmonize it and, thus, try to reduce the time of fixed orthodontics or avoid it in the future.
Having aligned teeth allows us to brush better, reducing or eliminating the risk of tartar build-up, reducing the risk of gum bleeding.
with better hygiene, lower risk of cavities, accumulation of food debris...
One of the most requested demands in the clinic is “wanting to have beautiful and straight teeth. Orthodontics is the way to achieve this. In addition, there are studies that show that having a beautiful and well-maintained smile can increase self-confidence and self-assurance.
if we do not have a good occlusion, sometimes this can lead to problems in the joint, asymmetrical dental wear, or enamel lesions.
At Somriures Dental, we recommend having a first orthodontic visit at around 6 years old, when the first permanent teeth come in. In this way, if we detect problems with the position of the teeth, bones, or functional alterations, we can start correcting them with removable or fixed appliances or by performing combined treatments with speech therapists and/or ENT specialists in cases where the child requires it. We must add that there is no age limit for orthodontic treatment as long as all conditions of bone, root, gum and systemic health are correct. Although early orthodontics will always be faster and more comfortable.

Orthodontic treatments can last on average between 12 and 24 months depending on the case and can be longer in some cases. However, currently at Somriures Dental, we have modern orthodontic techniques that allow us to perform treatments according to the difficulty of the case in 7 months or less. Before starting any orthodontic treatment, it is essential that the patient has a very good oral health; proper hygiene, absence of cavities and does not have active gum and bone problems. It is very important for good development and treatment results to attend the consultation monthly to make the necessary adjustments to the appliances and to progress as planned. Equally important is maintaining proper oral hygiene, which is why at Somriures Dental we offer a flat hygiene rate where we will perform the necessary cleanings during orthodontic treatment.
